Congratulations! The Comprehensive Peace Agreement CPA is three years old

Today the Comprehensive Peace Agreement CPA is three years old. This historic agreement signed between the SPLA and the Government of Sudan on the 9th january 2005 in Nairobi Kenya, was a turning point in the turbulent history of the Sudan, it brought an end to towenty two years of civil war and decades of marginalisation.

On behalf of the Liaison Office of the Government of Southern Sudan to the kingdom of Belgium and the European Union i congratulate all the marginalised people of the Sudan, the SPLM Leadership and cadres, the National Congress Party (NCP) and the International Community who helped brought about the agreement

I take also this opportunity to salute and congratulate the ever vigilant SPLA soldier who is the custodian of the CPA, i pay special tribute to our hero late Lt- General Dr John Garang former 1st Vice president of the Republic of the Sudan, President of the Government of Southern Sudan and Chairman of the SPLM/A.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate H.E. Lt General Salva Kiir Mayardit, 1st Vice president of the Republic of the Sudan, President of the Government of Southern Sudan and Chairman of the SPLM/A, Cabint ministers of GOSS, Governors of the Southern Sudan states, states ministers, counties commisioners all the governments officials, civil societes, womens and youth for their relentless work to render services to the people of Southern Sudan.
